These images, taken in and among tide-pools found along South-West Harbor, Maine, present an endless study in natural elements. Here the sea and shore collide. Relentless waves shape and change the land at a speed which astounds me. Photographically, the compositional possibilities are like piecing together a puzzle, hours of fun.
As an exercise, Lightroom was the only source of editing for these images. I have provided both Before and After images for comparison. I enjoyed the challenge of using only Lightroom, and was amazed at the results. If you explore the images in detail you will see enhancements such as local "Dodging & Burning" to control where the viewer looks, sharpness adjustments to bring out or suppress detail, lens corrections to adjust distortion, just to mention a few.
With Lightroom I not only had the power of its processing but also the creative tools necessary to finish this series and upload it to this website.
